Why Keeping It Clean Matters

A clean, lubricated lift resists corrosion and operates smoothly—especially important in saltwater environments and cold climates.

Cleaning Guide

  • Rinse frame and cables after each use.
  • Monthly clean: mild soap + warm water, using soft brush.
  • Use seawater-safe vinyl cleaners to remove barnacles or algae.
  • Avoid abrasive pads and solvents that damage finishes.
  • Use marine rust remover for mild rust—no wire brushes!

Lubrication Guide

  • Apply Trion Marine Grease to pulleys, cables, and gear shafts.
  • Use waterproof silicone spray to protect electrical parts.
  • Avoid petroleum-based oils that may harm hull finishes.
